My August Favorites

It’s a new month, which means I get to share with you the things that I have been obsessed with in the month of August.

I must say, I am low-key excited that the month of August has come to an end. The end of August means that Fall is upon us. And of course, I am a huge #Fall lover. I can’t wait to pull out my fall clothes and my fav boots. Not to mention its time for #Pumpkin EVERYTHING!!! If you are as excited as I am for Fall, leave a comment below and let me know what you love about the Fall.

So for the month of August, here are a few of my favorite things…

Beauty/Makeup Must Have:

Makeup: e.l.f. Blush Palette

For me, this blush pallet is an oldie but goodie. For some reason, I pulled out at the beginning of August and used it every time I did my makeup. I completely forgot how great and pigmented this blush was. I am so happy that we are reunited!

Hair Product:

Tension Brush: Thermo Ceramic Straightening Boar Bristle Brush

First of all, how come no one told me about how amazing a tension brush is? The first time I used a tension brush with my flat iron to straighten/flat iron my hair, I could not believe how silky smooth and straight it got from root to tip. I am obsessed! If you have not tried a tension brush you are missing out.

Nail Product:

Nail Kit: Sensational Invinvible Gel Polih Starter Kit

The Sensationail Starter Gel Kit has truly been a life saver for me. I know that sounds a bit dramatic, but it has been. I am a DIY manicure woman! And this kit has made it so easy for me to do my nails every week. My nails turn out as they would if I went to a nail salon to get a gel manicure. My gel manicure lasts me about 2 weeks just like the nail salon. If you are looking for a cost-effective gel kit, I would recommend this one. I purchased mine at Walmart and have had it for a little over a year now and I Love it!

Stationary Obsession:

Bullet Journal: Berry Dot Journal

Know you know I love me a good planner. I am all about that #plannerlife. But I have recently discovered the world of Bullet Journals, and the concept is just mind-blowing to me. It is the most customizable system ever. And if you miss a day in planning; you are not wasting any pages, you just continue where you left off. I am not going to go into full detail about the Bullet Journal and how I use it just yet (maybe in its own post later). But if you want more information or to see the basics of the concepts check out the Bullet Journal Website.

Podcasts I’m Loving:

The Friend Zone Podcast: Dustin Ross, HeyFranHey & Assante explore where pop culture and zen living meet.

I am OBSESSED with the Friend Zone Podcast. In my mind, Dustin, Fran, and Assante are my BFF’s. They are a trio that has such amazing chemistry and they are so open and honest with each other and it is so refreshing to hear. They touch on a bit of everything in their podcast. If you have not listened to the Friend Zone Podcast, you are missing out.

If you would like a full review of any of the items listed above, leave me a comment below and I will post a review. Also, let me know what some of your favorites for the month of August were.
