Be Fearless with Vivaciously Savvy

Hi Friends,

With the new year in full swing, I am already struggling to live up to my word for the year.

For those of you who don’t know, I am not the type of person to make New Year’s resolutions. I just do not believe setting New Year’s resolutions are realistic. Just because a new year is starting does not mean that it is the only time of the year that you can “start over”, set new goals, or start with a fresh clean slate for yourself. I fully believe that you can make a fresh new start and set new goals for yourself at any point in the year. You just have to make the conscious decision to make the change in your life.

Instead of setting New Year’s resolutions for myself, I chose to focus on a word for the year and do my best to define the word for myself and take actions in my daily life based on the word that I have chosen. And my word for 2016 is….

FearlessThis whole being fearless thing is so much harder than I thought. We are only a few weeks in to the New Year and I find myself struggling to release the fear, worry, and anxiety from my life. All I want to do is to be able to shake it off (as Taylor Swift “Shake It Off” plays in my head). There were so many events last year that contributed to my fear and worry being at an all-time high and causing me to have full blown anxiety. All I want to do this year is focus on releasing my fear, because in doing so I will be worry and anxiety free.

It’s time to Let Go and Let God! And I know through faith and focusing on gaining a greater relationship with God I know that through him there is nothing to fear.

So for those of you that are going through the same thing and wantto release the fear within, here are a few daily affirmations that I focus on throughout my day that help put me in a positive mind frame and help me to release any tension within my body:

  1. All of the muscles in my body are releasing and relaxing.
  2. I am free of anxiety, and a calm inner peace fills my mind and body.
  3. I will have a positive attitude and be hopeful and optimistic today. Those who do are the happiest and most successful people in life.

Also, for me it helps when I take time to do a bit of bible journaling or just journaling my thoughts and feelings.

I had such a wonderful low key weekend, I just wish that I had one more day just to chill and relax. Maybe I should have called in sick to work today {Just Kidding} LOL!

I thought I would start the week off with one of my favorite quotes:

I am not sure who wrote it, but I found it on Pinterest from LoveLightCreative.com a while back and I used it as my lock screen image on my phone for a long time. Not sure why, but every time I read this quote I laugh so hard on the inside because 1. It is so funny to me and 2. It is so TRUE! As I mentioned in my very first GYMRM (Get your Mind Right Monday) post, I briefly touched on a situation where I allowed those around me to bring me down so far that it was so hard for me to bring myself back to life. Sometimes it is so easy to get caught up with people who are your “friends” but are secretly hoping you fail in life. Not intentionally but because they are miserable with themselves they naturally put that energy on you, and if you are around them like every day, you get sucked in to their negative pull.

So if you want to live a positive life and allow for positivity to penetrate your life; you should surround yourself with people who truly love and care about you and want to see you succeed in life, or surround yourself with like-minded people who are striving for the same goal or similar goals in life, business, or family as you are.

Let’s start the week by “being with those who bring out the best in you, not the stress in you”!

I hope you Monday is off to a great start, I know mines is.

I had a wonderful weekend full of fun, laughter, and joy and not to mention it was Super Bowl weekend so there were a lot of shenanigans going on.

Being grateful or having gratitude for everything that you have in life is a staple of living a vivacious and happy life. Gratitude is such a strong feeling that allows you to attract positivity in your life like a sponge. So I challenge you to start everyday with a grateful heart by each day writing or even posting on  Social Media (Facebook, twitter, or Instagram) what you are grateful for in the following areas or your life:

Today was one of those days, you know those day that you wish you can press rewind and start all over again.

First of all I have not had a good night sleep in over 2 weeks and last night was no exception. My Monday morning started off so just not right, first I woke up later than I wanted to, then of course I couldn’t find anything to ware because I was totally having a “FAT” day. Oh did I mention that I forgot to put on make up, and by the time I remembered I was already running late and could not put my face together and/or grab my make up bag to apply it at work. It just seemed like one thing led to another today, and I could not shake the negativity that was coming my way.

All I kept thinking all day was that I wish I could press rewind and start this day all over. If I could only restart this day I could change the outcome of everything and shake the case of the Mondays. As today starts to come to an end, I have reminded my self that tomorrow is a new day. A day that I know will be an amazing day, because this Monday will be put in the past.

Thanks God for a new day!

First and foremost, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I am so excited for 2015, I can’t help but feel the excitement and new opportunities that 2015 has in store for me. In the past I have not felt this much excitement for the New Year, but I know that something amazing is going to happen this year. Don’t ask me what it is, because I have no idea. I just know! It is that feeling deep in your gut that you just can’t shake no matter what.

I have not had a chance to sit down and go over my goals for 2015 yet (I know, I know, I am so late). All I know as of today is that I am ready to ramp up my blog and get my YouTube channel started. So at some point today I will sit down and write out my long term goals and break them down in to short term goals.

So what am I bringing to 2015? I am bringing a positive attitude, lots of love, happiness, determination, hard work, and self awareness.
